Spring Winter what season is it???

We thought Spring was here but Mother Nature decided otherwise.

All the snow was gone, we

were just waiting for the ice to go out on the lake. The first pic is the view from camp of Lake Kabtogama, ice is still on the lake. The next picture is from this weekend. We recvieved around a foot of the white stuff...wont say that four letter word...LOL..

Green Color Study Block

This is Tami's block I worked on for a Round Robin Color Study in Green. I added the Button cluster on the right and the seam to the left of the button cluster. I also added the seam treatment on the left top, The Maiden hair stitches with green beads for flowers. I really enjoyed working on this block, the layout and the colors Tami chose go very well together.

These are some pics from a recent trip to NYC...This was my first time there. I only had a few hours in the evening, but this what I saw. The Empire State Building (lines were too long to go to the top next time maybe) Time Square...The M&M Store..Rockefeller Center..I got to ride ont he subway three times..That was an experince I wont forget...LOL..I even got a metro card..It was great..I will go back again, I think...LOL..

Color Study in Purple

In my CQfor Newbies group, we are doing a color study in purple. This is a block I recently worked on. I added the purple sprider roses. This is the first time I tried to make them. It was very easy, dont know why I havent done them sooner..LOL..We are suppose to be only using items that are purple to embellish the block. the lace and some thread look white in the pic, but they are a light lavendar. This is a very pretty block and I enjoyed working on it.

Kitty Kitty is all framed

I finally got my block from a Kitty Kitty round robin I joined in a CQNewbie group. I had to take a pic of it with Mr Bill...my daughters Kitty Kitty. Thanks to all the people that worked on this block. I just love it.

Work on Color Study in Green BLock

A group of CQNewbies are doing a round robin color study in green. This block belongs to Rebecca. We have to do all embellishments in green. I added the Tree using moss green, and added the green ribbon and beads. I also added the seam below the tree it was done in a irish moss green.

ATC's for the four seasons

I have finished 4 ATC (Artist Trading Cards) for a swap with my CQNewbie group. I did a four seasons theme. Top two are Summer and Winter and the bottom two are Spring and Autman. These were very fun and very easy to do. The cards have to be 2 1/2 by 3 1/2, same size as a baseball trading card. These are traded by artists and can be made out any type of material. Looking forward to seeing the ones I receive back in the swap.
